In short

  • You do not give Rudra a name, email or password to trade.
  • Your secret key is never sent to Rudra's servers or saved in your browser.
  • Rudra records how the site is used, including the public wallet address and transaction details when you trade. That information is also public on the Stellar ledger.
  • Google Analytics, PostHog, Cloudflare and Sentry help Rudra measure and run the site.

Information you give us

No account registration is needed to use Rudra. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use it only to reply.

If you set an anti-phishing Secret Phrase on the login page, it is stored only in your browser on that device. It is never sent to Rudra.

Wallet and account data

When you log in, Rudra uses your public Stellar account address (it starts with G) to load balances, offers and history from the network.

  • Secret keys entered on the login page stay in the page's memory and are used to sign in your browser. After a refresh Rudra restores only your public address in view mode and asks for the key again before signing.
  • Your browser keeps your last public address and login method so the session can resume after a refresh. Logging out clears them.
  • A shared cookie on rudra.exchange and its subdomains holds only your public address and login method, so Rudra's other apps can recognize the same account.
  • Wallet apps (for example Freighter, LOBSTR, Ledger or WalletConnect) handle signing under their own privacy policies.

Usage analytics

Rudra uses analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it:

  • Rudra's own analytics. When you connect a wallet, or submit a swap or an order, Rudra records the public account address, the login method, the transaction hash, the assets and amounts involved, and whether it succeeded. This is used to measure usage and to reconcile results with the ledger.
  • PostHog product analytics, sent through rudra.exchange. It records page views and product steps. Stellar addresses, keys, transaction hashes and memos are removed before sending, sessions are not recorded, and your browser's Do Not Track setting is respected. It keeps an anonymous identifier in your browser.
  • Google Analytics records page views and device and browser information under Google's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page performance and visits.

Error monitoring

Rudra uses Sentry to find and fix errors. Error reports include technical details such as the page, browser and error message, plus a small sample of performance timings. Rudra configures Sentry not to send default personal data, and cleans reports before they are sent.

Hosting and abuse prevention

Rudra is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard request information such as your IP address, browser user agent and the page requested, under its own privacy policy.

To limit abuse, some Rudra endpoints count requests using a one-way hash of your IP address and browser signature. These counters expire after a short time window.

Services your browser talks to

  • Stellar Horizon (horizon.stellar.org), operated by the Stellar Development Foundation. Your browser reads network data from it and submits signed transactions to it directly; some market data is fetched through Rudra's servers.
  • Token logos usually load straight from the issuer's own website, so that website can see your IP address when a logo appears. When a logo cannot load that way, Rudra's servers fetch it instead.
  • External links, such as StellarExpert, follow the destination site's own policies.

The Stellar ledger is public

Balances, trades and payments on Stellar are public and permanent. Anyone can link activity to an account address, and neither Rudra nor anyone else can delete it from the ledger. Using Rudra does not make on-chain activity private.

Your choices

  • Turn on Do Not Track in your browser to stop PostHog product analytics.
  • Block analytics scripts with your browser settings or an extension; the site still works.
  • Log out, or clear this site's data in your browser, to remove session data stored locally.
  • Ask about analytics data linked to your address by writing to support@rudra.exchange.
